Cargo carried on a vessel’s deck—such as project cargoes, steel products, containers, and oversized equipment—faces strong dynamic forces during the voyage, including wind pressure, sea motion, and constant vibration. For this reason, a properly designed and professionally executed lashing system is essential to prevent cargo movement and protect both the vessel and its crew. At Kuzey Marine Survey, we deliver reliable and fully compliant on-deck lashing services with engineering-based methods.

Safe Securing of Cargo Loaded on the Vessel’s Deck

Our Operational Method and Equipment
Each operation is planned according to cargo weight, dimensions, center of gravity and deck structure. Our experienced team identifies the safest securing points, determines the required tension values, and selects suitable certified equipment. We use chain lashings, turnbuckles, wire slings, shackles, D-rings, and high-strength securing accessories approved under IMO, ISO and CSS Code standards. Every step is recorded, monitored and executed to ensure maximum stability under heavy sea conditions.

Inspection, Documentation and Final Verification
After the lashing operation is completed, our surveyors conduct a comprehensive inspection. All connections are checked for tension, alignment, strength, and structural suitability. A detailed photo-supported lashing report is issued, serving as an official document in case of disputes or damage claims. Upon request, we also provide pre-sailing checks and supervision during unlashing operations at the discharge port.
